Happy Saturday. Yesterday wasn’t a great day with a 2-4 record, but we did get an outright dog hit with the Hornets. We’re still in a pretty good spot on the season with just two more days of regular season action left. Let’s find some winners from a four-game slate before tomorrow’s fifteen-game finale.

TODAY’S PLAYS

NBA record: 203-190-8 ATS (23-38 Underdog ML), 13-16-1 O/U, 5-8 parlay, 0-2 props

  • Pacers +14

Let’s bet on the Pacers. Their last nine games have all been decided by 9 or less points, and they’ve had three days of rest since their last game, which also happened to be against the Sixers. Philly can blow teams out (six of their last fourteen wins have been by 15+), but they’ve struggled to do it against bad teams. Their last four games – and seven of their last nine – against teams that won’t make the play-in or playoffs have been decided by 13 or less, and both of the exceptions came against the Knicks in a little two-game series about five weeks ago.

  • Pelicans +6.5
  • Spurs +6.5

I think one of these two has to cover and don’t mind both plays. The Grizzlies have nothing to play for and have dropped two in a row. This seems like a pretty big line for a Pelicans team that’s been playing pretty well and still needs to sustain momentum heading into the play-in. The Warriors do have a lot to play for with the Mavs on their backs for the 3 seed, but there’s a reason Dallas has caught up to them these last few weeks. San Antonio is playing well like New Orleans, and they also need to stay hot ahead of their big 9/10 matchup in a few days. With both of these teams (all four actually but specifically the Pels and Spurs for this point) playing back-to-backs to close the season, San Antonio and New Orleans may use this as one last in-game practice run.

Let’s have a Saturday.
