Happy Friday. There was some carnage last night when BYU and USC both lost by a possession to kill the CBB parlay. It didn’t help that the Warriors and Timberwolves entered the fourth quarter with Golden State up 14 and then proceeded to have their highest scoring quarter of the game to crash the under. Things got a little ugly. I was 1-2 NBA with an ATS win and total and prop misses. Then I was 2-7-2 ATS in CBB with the additional parlay loss, closing the night with five straight losses after a 2-3-2 start. Brutality. We bounce back today.

TODAY’S PLAYS

NBA record: 105-107-5 ATS (16-24 Underdog ML), 12-15-1 O/U, 3-3 parlay, 0-2 props

  • Pistons +135

I don’t know why the Magic have been favored twice this week. They’re the worst team in the league. They should be favored against no one. Orlando might win this game, but Detroit at plus odds is good value. They’ve been playing much better than the Magic lately.

  • Celtics +115

Boston has won seven of ten. Atlanta has won five of ten. Now, it is true that all five of those wins have come in a row, which makes things sound a little different. The Hawks are pushing their way back up towards the play-in. But the Celtics have been the better team all year, and I’ll take them as dogs here.

  • Trail Blazers -2

Portland is not particularly good, but they should take care of business in Houston. This is a small line against a bad Rockets team.

  • Grizzlies -4

Gobert is out. Mitchell is questionable. The Grizzlies are better than the Jazz right now regardless.

  • Pacers PK (-110)

The Pacers have been pretty bad, but they haven’t been Thunder-level, 1-9 in your last 10, bad. I’ll absolutely take their ML at spread value.

  • Bucks -8.5

The Knicks have been very meh, and the Bucks will have a point to prove after letting Cleveland turn a first quarter deficit into a runaway win. Even though they’re still within two games of the top of the East, Milwaukee is just a loss away from slipping to the 6 seed.

CBB record: 161-182-5 ATS (20-29 Underdog ML), 0-2 parlay

  • Ohio +135

Ohio has just three losses all year – MAC-leading Toledo, Kentucky, and LSU. They’re not losing to Buffalo. I’ll take them at plus odds.

  • Toledo -7.5

Toledo has won their last four and six of their last seven MAC games by at least 13 points. Akron is a good team, but Toledo will continue to roll tonight.

  • Boise State -2

Boise State is 16-4 (7-0) for a reason. They’ve passed every test so far. Let’s pass another one.

NBA/CBB PARLAYS: 0-0

Bucks, Colgate, Toledo MLs (+168)

Let’s get it done tonight.
