Happy Wednesday. It’s been a very good week so far, and we built on a solid Monday with a 2-0 NBA and 8-3 CBB day. UConn was a few points away from giving me a parlay hit too, but we can swallow that when the other plays are hitting. Let’s do it again today.

TODAY’S PLAYS

NBA record: 113-111-5 ATS (16-27 Underdog ML), 12-15-1 O/U, 3-5 parlay, 0-2 props

  • Sixers -10.5

The Wizards have lost three of four by 10+, and now they get to visit Philly the day after losing by 14 in Milwaukee. Joel Embiid will be back after resting Monday night. The Sixers have won five in a row and six of seven. They roll tonight.

  • Grizzlies -4

The Grizzlies are ten games ahead of the Knicks in the standings, and New York has lost three straight and eleven of twelve against teams in the top six of either conference. This is a pretty small line that Memphis should cover.

  • Cavs -5

The Rockets have lost three straight by 14+ and four straight overall. It’s generally not a bad idea to bet against them. On the other side of things, it’s usually a pretty good call to bet on the Cavs, who have been one of the three best teams in the league against the spread this year. Cleveland is 10-2 in their last twelve, and they should win comfortably here.

  • Nuggets +145

The Jazz have been a mess without Gobert and Mitchell, and now Ingles is out too. They’re just 2-11 in their last thirteen. The Nuggets weren’t playing especially heavy minutes last night in a big loss to the Timberwolves last night, and they bounce back in this one.

CBB record: 175-187-5 ATS (23-29 Underdog ML), 0-3 parlay

  • Arkansas -10.5

Arkansas has been great lately, winning six in a row. Only one of those wins came by less than 7 points. This is a small line, believe it or not. Georgia is horrendous. 6-15 is a terrible Power 5 record. They’ve lost seven of their last nine by 7+ points. They get rolled here.

  • Florida State +120

FSU has suffered some brutal ACC losses the last few times out, but they’ve still won six of ten conference games. At plus odds, I’ll take them over a Clemson team that hasn’t beaten anyone other than Pitt or NC State since before Christmas.

  • Wake Forest -12

Wake is 12-1 at home with the only loss coming to Duke, and they’ve been rolling teams lately, beating both UNC and BC by 20+ in the last ten days. Pitt is 1-6 on the road and not remotely close to good, and I like Wake to bounce back from a road loss to Syracuse in this one.

  • George Mason -1

I believe in George Mason. They’ve beaten Dayton and St Bonaventure, and now they get a St Louis team that’s been a less-than-stellar 2-3 away from home. They win again.

  • Georgia Tech +10.5

Virginia Tech has one won ACC game by more than 6 points all year, and it was last time out. Are they really going to put two in a row together?

  • Wisconsin +6.5

When you get a line bigger than 5 points between two teams fighting for the title in a Power 5 conference, take the underdog. Wisconsin has been beat up in their two Big Ten losses, but this is just a lot of points to be giving them here with the winner taking full control of the conference.

  • Marquette +4.5

The Fiserv Forum will be rocking, and Marquette is 7-2 in their last nine. They’ve already beaten Nova. I like them to keep this close.

NBA/CBB PARLAYS: 1-2

  • PARLAY: MLs of Sixers, Cavs, Miami FL, Xavier, Arkansas, Purdue, Wake Forest, Chattanooga (+512)

Let’s have a Wednesday.
